British street artist Banksy has confirmed that a new mural that mysteriously appeared in Port Talbot, Wales, is his. A video posted on the artist’s official Instagram account yesterday shows close-ups of the finished piece alongside the caption: ‘season’s greetings.’
The image appears on two sides of a garage. One side depicting a child enjoying snow falling and, the other, revealing a fire emitting ash. The piece, in Taibach, appears to be a comment on the town’s industrial heritage. In July, black dust from the town’s steelworks covered houses, cars and pets.
